Did not have much time spare today with being with combine and reccon for clients but had an hour under my lucky sitty tree .It does not matter what crop is in the field birds just love this tree but this year its rape and now rape stubble .Got set up at 5.30am with just the hide did not put decoys out .After 5 mins had 1 down then a double a few mins later ,put them out in the stubble and soon had 1 decoy ,I then had 3 ferals for 3 shots.

Think the field will shoot well later in the week but for an hour i had 15 birds for 16 shots and really enjoyed it

You had a spare hour!!!!!

What's the world coming to?

Well done Tom, nice to see you back on form.

Love to see reports from "real pigeonshooters"....a snatched couple of hours with the dog in a hide away from everybody and a few good shots, its what most of us live for

"You dont always need a big bag"

Well thats just as well Tom as mine consisted of one with the airgun under my favourite tree today  I like you can always shoot a few there because the pigeon love it and as you say I dont bother with decoys as I can always get some to start making a pattern never shot huge bags there but when I give it a go with the shotgun it almost always results in a bag of 20-40 its a 2 min walk out of the back of my house too which is a bonus , I do like to limit how often I shoot it to once every few months though.
