Fat toad
Hi saw a post asking for one what is it and hoe does it work?
fenboy
Its just what it says it is a Magnet for pigeons , the magnet is specially adapted to draw pigeons to it instead of steel ,so all the ones that are flying out of range get pulled much nearer to you ,quite good dont you think

Dexterboyz
i agree with FENBOY think i'v seen one of these bad boys in action b4.... its like a big horse shoe shaped thing with red ends and any pigeon that flies past it automatically gets drawn closer!! i'v seen many a pigeon flying 4ward but bein dragged back at the same time!! its ingenious really!!
bruno22rf
I bought one months ago but it was faulty and attached itself to my gun-Its back from the repair shop now but since then the only thing its tempted with wings is a dropped panty-pad. yankeedoodlepigeon
As Pigeons fly using the Earths magnetic field it affects this to draw it closer to your gun or where you place the magnet. artschool
they are winding you up. it has nothing to do with the earths magnetic field. it works because of the high iron content in pigeon blood, allowing the electro magnet to draw then into shogun range. which is about 40 yards. you have to switch it offf before taking a shot because the magnet can effect your swing. it won't affect lead shot but steel can be pulled off course and even end up damaging the magnet. pabs
Bought one, wasn't impressed. Maybe it was my technique but all I could pull in was Starlings and smaller birds, but it worked very well with them Even had a couple occasions where I was having to pull sparrows off the magnet Had a mate who uprated his to 240v off a genny. Swears he could alter the flight path of passing light aircraft.. Edited August 14, 2011 by pabs

UKPoacher
I used one for a while but I found that the magnet was so strong it emptied a nearby racing pigeon loft. The owner was furious and smashed my pigeon magnet up into little pieces all of which promptly attached themselves to his pigeons and then stuck all the pigeons up together in a ball. I daren't use one on my shoot now.
beerdeor
You bunch of ****....ers tell the truth, everybody knows that the pigeon magnet will only pull birds in that have been pricked previuosly by steel shot

On a serious note I would guess that since you were asking in the airgun section that is what you use,in which case a pigeon magnet would be of very little use to you as even though it may at times pull the birds nearer they will very rarely land and have to be shot on the wing. You would be better advised to use a flapper if you want birds to land or my preference when out with the airgun just plain decoys.
