TbirdX
It seems. Or at least in the gunshop side of it judging by the amount of no responses I've had to my attempts to enquire about purchasing a new semi-auto this week. Ho-hum. I questioned a P+P charge of £15 for an item compared to £5.99 at a competitor was told to buy from competitor! That's was for a bag! Seems some don't want the business! TbirdX
I enquired using the online contact us forms on their own websites. I've no doubt the shooting industry is feeling the squeeze as much as anyone, which is why its so puzzling that I've had no response. Dunkield
In my experience, you will never ever get a response like that - hence the question, gun shops have forms and email addresses but they rarely monitor them. I would pick up the phone or visit in person if you are serious about buying.
Ferret Master
Try phoning them, that works too. FM
TbirdX
Then what's the point in having the facility?. I fully appreciate what you are saying but I just wanted some tentative prices to compare before I get to the serious stage of spending my money. I'll have a phone around at some point. Brixsmaid
Just for the record my local gun shop - Town and Country Sports, Botley, Hampshire has closed (a couple of weeks ago) their shop after over 25 years of trading, they are in the process of reviewing and updating their online presence for the future
Dunkield
Then what's the point in having the facility?. I think it is just bundled when they buy an online package maybe? I have no idea, all I know very few of them ever respond to online enquiries.
JustJon
Some "expert" told them they needed it but they don't like or understand the tech and prefer face to face. Similarly, site sponsor out of stock of the rotary package I wanted so I called some other stores. No-one had the package I wanted - easy to say they won't make sales with no stock but I also appreciate that holding too much expensive stock destroys the cash flow and cash flow is what kills a business - not lack of sales. Did you ask UKSW when it would be in stock ? This is probably the busiest time of year for decoying products, not just the harvest period, but all the County Shows, Game Fairs, etc.
JustJon
Yeah - mid week. I live 5 minutes from them so will be back in touch! Rather collect it from them than pay for delivery! That and I'm impatient waiting for deliveries!
