Ferret Master
Hi, That is great. Is your jill calm enough to let you check the kits and count them etc or are you going to leave her to tend to them herself for a few days? Ferretboy111
Well i thought it was an early litter but my friend has kits at the 6 week old stage already. Ill leave it for a few more days to let her settle down, atm she has covered them with straw so all i can do is here them. But on the morning of them arriving i had a look and worked out that rufly there is 8-10. I dont want to push my luck with her as yet but she isnt vicious towards me atal which makes things easier, she even wants to come up to me when i go into the shed. Cranfield
You are right to take your time with her, an upset mummy ferret is not a nice thing. Now would also be a good time to advertise any kits you will not be keeping. Then you have customers waiting for ferrets, rather than the other way round. Ferrets grow quickly, want plenty of room and don't 'arf eat. 8-10 could be quite a handful.
Ferretboy111
Yeh good thing ive got masses of rabbits and a large shed at the farm with them housed in. Well im unsure of colours obvs yet, ill advertise them when they get alittle older, however im with the Cambridge ferret welfare and rescue society so can quite happily rehome within the society. woodyfirst
Hi Ferretboy, I'm a member (well, ex-member) of the CFWRS, I still keep in touch with a few of the guys though. I'd be happy to take some of the kits off you when they're ready. Drop me a PM, or an email (sam.wood3[at]btinternet.com) if you're interested!
