Deano87
Hi I've just bought an air arms s410 superlite carbine 22 Only 2 days ago. This is my first pcp air rifle I had a BSA lighting before. But I've noticed when I shoot the air arms I can sometimes see the pellet flying through the air in the scope. Is this normal or is it underpowered.
geoff75
hi mate i have the 1.77 s410 shooting at 11.5 ftlb and i can see the pellet through the scope so i wouldnt worry about it hope this helps regards geoff Edited August 29, 2011 by geoff75
fenboy
perfectly normal on any pcp gun its due to there being no recoil ,when you shoot a spring gun like your lightnig your eye moves on the shot so you cant pick up the flight of the pellet. -Mongrel-
Same here, especially popping at targets, I often see the pellet. Never seem to notice it in the field.

I pick mine up tomorrow Yeah I love it I couldn't believe the accuracy when I zeroed it in the pellets where going through the same pellet hole at 30 yards. Im glad I went for it over the hw
Deano87
Thanks for the reply's. It's good to kno that's the norm for a pcp
Dekers
You must have some gut feeling of the power/penetration in relation to the Lightning! If you are in any doubt get it chronoed, but seeing the pellet in some conditions is quite common, especially lamping! I have seen near on 4,000 ft sec centrefire ammo under the lamp, so I wouldn't go thinking it is underpowered!
Ojun
Stick it over a Chrono if worried, im sure your local gunshop would do this for you. But its totally normal to see the pellet in flight, often see it when shooting its not an indication of low power
Good shot?
As Fenman says, it is pefectly normal. I have AAS400 and springers.I too can see pellet fired from AAS400 and it is because no recoil to distort your vision. Enjoy it.. :good: Edited September 2, 2011 by Good shot?
