PCP Air Rifle

A colleague in work, asked me yesterday,if leaving a PCP air rifle with a full charge, unused for a few months, would damage it? I did'nt know the answer, and would like to know myself too, as I have an FAC S410, which is used very rarely. On that note, can the air be let out, other than firing it until it empties?

My Falcon runs 26ft lb and there are no problems leaving it charged, from John (he was a gent) at Falcon! The Falcon can be uncocked without firing it, I don't know about other PCP.

And if anyone leaves a charged PCP only to find it is totally flat a few months later I would suggest a service/seal replacements, mine is not much used these days, it comes out as required and I have never noticed any loss of pressure, mine always gets charged after use and put away like that!

I can confirm AA S200's and AA S400's can be uncocked without firing, pull back bolt and while holding it back pull the trigger.

My S400 is a FAC model but it's regged so I rarely eat much into it's fill on a night out with it (about 55 shots), I usually fill it before taking it out for the night and the only time I came to it to find it empty it was because it needed new seals.
