silpig5
how badly damaged are they ? just dropped in a pool ? once dried if they are plastic cased they should be fine to use , ive wet my cartridges several times whilst out and never had a issue . adi
Albert 888
I use gambore super steel which are clear cartridges and you can see the steel shot are starting to rust.only a couple of the shot and they still rattle. If you look were the crimping is you can see on some carts a small pinhole in the centre of the crimp.I filled my chest wders up on the 1st and sat in them for about 5 hours. Also soaked my pohne which is now u/s. silpig5
DOH !!!!!!!! im not really sure of a correct method of disposal , ive used varios methods , none of which i would post here . me personally would use the ones that dont look rusty , if they have had a good drying in the airing cubard they should be ok . adi
M.I.A
are they plastic or fiber wad? Either way drop the shot out (cut above or through the wad) and fire them as blanks if you want to safely get rid Edited September 6, 2011 by M.I.A
Beretta28g
To safely dispose, Cut through the wad, and remove the shot from the case, chuck the case and either keep or chuck the shot. Pull the other bit of wad out and pour the powder on to something like a spade and put a match to it. (It will just burn with a big "woosh") Put the par of the cartridge with the head and primer in the gun and pull the trigger, (will be moderately loud bang) then chuck. All done. Vince Green
Wrap them up in brown paper and post them to yourself but do not put enough stamps on the parcel. When the postman delivers the parcel refuse to pay the excess postage. He will then take the parcel away and you will never see it again. Just fire them off, 99% of the time they will go off. If you don't want to chance them on the only shot of the night thats understandable but on less important targets or just into the air they will be fine probably. If you are out on the marshes fire them off at random intervals and somebody a half a mile down will think "Bloody Hell! I'm in the wrong place here" and get the right hump. ack-ack
Wrap them up in brown paper and post them to yourself but do not put enough stamps on the parcel. If they're going rusty let them go a bit more and then you'll have yourself some slugs.
