stick at it or move to a different area

best time round here is usually when ther is huge flocks on the rape coz the damage is clearly visible to farmers

I agree best time to ask as farmer sees big flocks & maybe the people who've been shooting don't do it so much in the cold.

Keep knocking m8 simple as that ! Don't give up also remember you owe me a days shooting

Be a bit cheeky and ask if you can have a go . It worked for me even though the owner said he had guns that shoot for him . Sometimes you have to be pushy , if you want something bad enough . Dont give up .

Patience will be rewarded, like other suggest, keep at it

A good friend tried for almost 2 years in his area until he finally got a yes.

By showing respect, dedication and willing he now has the sole deer, vermin and ground game rights to almost 1000 acres of highly productive land & over the years he has developed a great friendship with the landowner & now runs a lovely DIY game shoot with some ducking also thrown in.

The next door opened might surprise you bud

also, try thinking outside the box, if your saying all the landowners are saying they already have pigeon shooters, try giving them something they aint got, ask for ratting permission instead?

even being a full time pestie, getting shooting permission has been hard, had a few that were a good hours drive away, but nothing on my doorstep, then got asked to clear some rabbits local, and chanced asking for pigeon shooting too, got a knock back, saying he had plenty of pigeon shooters, so I left it at that, but whenever I was shooting bunnies, Id text him and inform him of what fields the pigeons were hitting, telling him to get his pigeon guys onto such and such field, being a night worker this was all done mid week, knowing that alot of pigeon guys only have weekends, by my third week of texting, I had full permission on rabbits and pigeon
