garyb
I find gently rubbing the pork shoulder with a little sea salt before roasting does help to keep them at bay...

bakerboy
Contact Stuart "the country bumpkin",(he is on the web) he runs food fayres at local pubs Stevenage, Hitchin, Codicote , Knebworth etc Tuesday's and Saturdays in the main. The meals are all country fare ,pigeon, rabbit, venison and the like, good food and very good value. A short while ago I had squirrel tikka, rabbit and loin of munjak. He also does a fantastic Hog Roast, I hired him for my Ruby Wedding Anniversary Party and he recieved a lot of follow up bookings, he does not mind travelling. I was going to suggest we used Stuart for a Herts get together meal, perhaps at Christmas.
