ziplex
It amazes me what you guys are prepared to pay for wellies. We just buy the Dunlop ones from TOOLSTATION for £9.19. Mine are 3 years old now and still perfect and they are used for work as well as recreation. I buy them for my staff, never had a problem, never had to replace a pair. I could have a night out with the wife for what you lot pay. I used cheap wellies years ago and they're fine if you haven't got miles to walk ie: the foreshore, aren't stood in cold water for any period of time and/or isn't well below freezing generally. I couldn't get over how comfy/effective against cold neoprene wellies are in comparison to pvc type wellies and wouldn't have 'owt else now. You can get perfectly good neo' wellies for around £30 but some of the more expensive makes are well worth the extra and will last an age. Muddy Funker
I was going to ask about muck boots before I finished reading the thread, it seems alot of positive things to say about them. I've seen them at all the country shows and was tempted. Any particular model to go for? Walking/shooting ect.
UKPoacher
Had mine since 2003, still in good nick. That impressed with them I have bought another pair ready for when these finally do need replacing. Either you don't go beating or you are what we refer to as a 'Pathfinder'. Doesn't matter what wellies I wear, they are cream-crackered by the end of January with all the hawthorn and brambles I have to go through. It amazes me what you guys are prepared to pay for wellies. colliwobbles
+1 for the aigles I've had mine for 2 years now, neoprene lined for the winter, nice and warm. Good sole which seems to clear the mud easily. Were on offer a short time ago at Mole Valey Farmers.
bennyblanco
Muck boots here too, I love them and am a hater of wellies in general so used to always keep in walking boots until it got really stodgy. They are warm and comfy and have only fallen down when stabbed/torn by barbed wire, I used Aquaseal to repair them and I think this will be their forth season with a fair bit of walking. Get walking ones as some are smooth soled and heeled for horsey riding
