steve_b_wales
I'm on the look out for a pair of electronic ear muffs. I don't want to spend a fortune, or buy a cheap pair either. I already have Tinnitus through shooting, but don't want it to get worse. Anyone got a good pair they can recommend? Steve.

steve_b_wales
Peltor Sport Tac's. Just checked them out. They look okay, apart from being a bit bulky. I would prefer a slimmer pair if possible.
garyb
They are the market leaders in sound quality and durability though... Have a look at the Howard Speights (sp)
majordisorder
I've got the Howard's very good value and work well enough for me

Steve, I would also rate the peltor sport tac, they are not the cheapest but i do believe that they are the best put together and you can buy "hygene kits" for them which consist of replacement for the flexible pvc covered foam bits that touch your face around your ear and new foam liners. as far as i'm aware they are the only ear defender company selling these spares which will extend the life of the ear defenders imesurably. steve_b_wales
Thanks for all the advice. I've gone for the Howard Leight Impact Sport ones. I've got them for £59 inc pp. There is also a hygiene kit available for these as well. Steve.

ragged99
yeah Me and Mrs ragged have them. good value and effective, still getting used to the "amplified reality" sensation :-)
humperdingle
Howard Leight. Slim, excellent battery life and virtually no delay in ambient sound returning. Around £50.
JustJon
I like mine for Clays, not convinced for decoys. Never can tell where the bird noise is coming from with them on! Considering some Napiers instead.
