COLINSRI
I want to buy a set of binos. Only want to spend about £50-£70 (second hand). What ones can I get in this price range and what spec/brand and size would need them to be for spotting quarry. I will also use them for spotting ships from the coast. If anybody has any decent ones for sale can they let me know.
dazza
Franks got a good pair in the 'for sale' section if you could stretch to £
roblade
have to be honest with you phil, I dont actualy know anyone who uses bins for spotting quarry, lots use it for leisure though. You have to remeber air guns are 60% field craft and 40% shooting, with a pair of bins dangling about your likely to spopok your quarry. But if you do insit on getting a pair, i would recomend something small and light weight that you can slip in your pocket, i have a 10x20 set here that cost me £5 on the market far froim brilliant but they do the job, and not coist the world if the get lost or damaged. all the best ROB ps just off down post office
P03
Colin, I think it's a case of 'horses for courses' I use a monocular for hunting and bino's for everything else. A monocular is cheap, mine is an 8x20 cost £8 new weighs about 2 oz and fits into the palm of my hand. Definately the way to go imho.
