yickdaz Posted October 15, 2011 Report Share Posted October 15, 2011 (edited) finally bagged my first wigeon tonight on the marsh,shot with my old fella tonight and we both bagged duck there is a couple of flashes on the marsh 300 yards from the estuary on our syndicate, land and its fed with wheat and dryings for the duck. it was only our second flight on them this season, first flight on 1st sept wasn,t to good only saw handful of teal and mallard. But tonight it was alive with duck we waited for 20 mins then 3 mallard came over high we shot at them and i hit one hard that went down out of sight, then a few teal came in give no chance of a shot, then all hell broke loose with pack after pack of wigeon that came whiffling in to the splash in front of us not giving much chance of a shot we moved round the splash but the duck kept dropping out of range finally some started to come in range and we started to drop birds, i managed 2 wids me dad 2 but we both hit birds that went down out of sight so final bag was 5 wigeon and a mallard but only picked whats in the pic pic not the best but you can see what they are.
