Different things work on different days although I would say 10 yards seems too close to me. Try it a bit further out next time, these things are best utilised as aids to catch the eyes of passing traffic that would otherwise fail to see the main pattern. What you are trying to do in other words is flick their attention momentarily so they see the main spread.

It may also be that your actual bouncer decoys are a poor shape, it may look fine to you but appear like a blow up doll does to us?

On another outing they may work really well so don't write them off just yet.

I wouldnt put a bouncer with an artificial bird in the approach way to your kill zone, better off to one side leaving the approach way clear.

I am with Deny, you could be blocking the approach .

Always place the bouncer's to on side, pigeons like to see a way in as well as a way out.

Leave a decent gap for the birds to swing in to, as we all know birds flare of at the slightest thing, if you are going to have a floating bird, have a real one! However don’t have it in the way….

:stupid:

Also I only use them when there's a bit of breeze or wind. I have found ,in the past that if it's really still, they can have an adverse affect. So I don't bother with them if there's no wind.

I'm not saying, its the golden rule, its just my preference.

I'm with Bakerboy - off to one side, usually furthest away from the hide so the birds swing in between you and the floaters
