100milesaway
Marco would have been one of the future stars of Moto GP,Its just so sad when an accident like that claims a young talent. Both Edwards and Rossi had nowhere to go and were totally blameless, I hope they can both see through the initial sadness and will continue to race. On another day he would have just slid into the shale.Thoughts are with his family.I for one will miss his individual approach to racing. from Auntie. caeser
Very sad times. One of my daughters met Dan Wheldon at that same track that he was killed about 3 years ago. She and her boyfriend ended up having a good chat with him and Dario Franchiti. Both british drivers were chuffed to talk to someone with a northern english accent. And my other daughter Holly works in Motorbike racing, so when she came home last night she was still very sombre, and upset, about Marco. She's been to one funeral already this year for a bike racer. Ben Gautry, killed at Cadwell park. Edited October 24, 2011 by caeser
