FalconFN
I would avoid a CO2 rifle unless you want it for garden plinking as the power fluctuates too much with temperature. Go for a second hand break barrel, anything from Weihrauch, Air Arms, Theoban will be spot-on and will last a lifetime, and as said above, BSA lightning will also do the job well. brett1985
hiya mate, with that kind of budget, your into the realms of a medium quality new gun, or a good secondhand gun. bsa lightnings usually go for around that sort of price, good gun, can be a little twangy but shoot very well! (i own 2!) weirauch springers can be got for that sort of price and are very good guns, some can be a little heavy though so best to try before you buy. you may even be able to pick up an early tx200 for that kind of money too. once again, very good gun. have a good look on the internet and see what you like buddy. i generally tend to steer clear of makes like smk, but thats more personall preference than anything else. co2 guns are something that ive never ventured into though, so im afraid i cant be much help there chap! any questions, gimme a shout and ill do what i can to help answer them. regards, brett
nobby
tx200 you definatey cant go wrong but I'd have to disagree about the co2. I have been using a tuned up xs78 and even in this cold weather it is still performing really well, accurate and still powerful enough for clean kills at air rifle range. There is a bloke on the chinese airgun forum called porkyyorky who has some already tuned and modded (longtube, scilencer etc) and you will be able to pick one up within your price range. Tx or lightning will hold thier money better tho. At the risk of getting hammered xs38 is a good budget underlever. break barrel xs208 or the synsg. But if you can find tx200, majority of hw's in your budget then jump on it thier rep speaks volume just saying that there are cheaper good alternatives out there. vengeance111
Can i ask why not pcp i got one i love it cause its very hard to get a half decent one for under 200, also springers are more fun and challenging to shoot
TaxiDriver
Can i ask why not pcp i got one i love it As stated by the other respondants above post, "You might struggle to find a good one for the budget" Additionally, You'll need another £100 upwards for either a pump or a dive cylinder to charge it up. bruno22rf
If I were in your shoes right now I would opt for one of the BSA Mercuries on Guntrader. One there for £145 with a dark stock looks really nice.Go second hand to avoid the massive depreciation on a new gun and ,if you are not experienced, buy from a dealer so you get a warranty.
