willy1
I've noticed that there is a lot of references to taking 'Boiler Room' shots on foxes,i'm not really sure as to what is meant by this,i've always shot to hit the heart/lung region. Please, can anyone explain? willy1
Verminer, many thanks for the reply,it's put my mind at rest,I thought perhaps i'd been shooting in the wrong place after all these years. Must say, the foxes have never complained. Alan

Frenchieboy
"Boiler Room" - "Engine Room" - They are both just alternative names for a "Heart and Lung" shot! In a ship the "Boiler Room" or "Engine Room" was the "power centre" of the ship that kept it going, without the "Boiler Room" or "Engine Room" the ship was going nowhere, just as a fox is going nowhere if you take out it's heart and lungs, whereas if you were to put a shot through the cargo hold of a ship it could keep on going just as if you put a shot through the stomach of a fox it can (Sometimes) carry on running and escape! I personally don't care much what you want to call it with a fox as long as it drops there and then!
