dunganick
i breifly owned a hunter, the new model avalible in 20g not 12g still uses the same action as the old ones, which says something for how well they function. The one i had didnt miss feed with anything apart from low recoil carts, it was nice and light and came up very nicely, however i did find the recoil too much. One of the reasons i sold it, money and space being the other reasons. i think you will find Lord Gordie now has two franchi hunters, so you might talk to him as he will know the gun insideout. Lord Geordie
Yes I have 2 now thanks Nick Well built and good quality guns with recoil operated cycling instead of Gas. Beauty is i only need to clean the barrel unlike the gas operated systems I find them LIGHT and the recoil is minimal to me but then i have a big frame to absorb the recoil (lucky me ) I am so impressed with my Franchi's they are both keepers. So i guess i am saying YES they are worth the money. I paid £50 for one in as new cond as the lad thought it was broke it wouldn't cycle 28g loads. All it was was the rings were set up for heavy loads i turned the rings round and BINGO Then i bought an Engraved one from Dunganick for £200. Shop about for the best deal and make sure the bore is clean and the wood in good nick as they can be picked up cheaply enough in good nick LG

Kenzie
My Dad shot with one for years and years but swapped to a gas operated one when it wore out. Tryed one later on but couldn't get on with it so he got rid
