nobby
Went for a zeroing session today as my R10 took a knock at the weekend and I hadn't done my tx since I changed the scopes. As soon as I turned up there were 2 collared doves on a telegraph line. pop reload pop went the R10 and they both dropped within seconds of each other. I set up my targets and a third sat on the line, pop and down it went. No adjustment needed then. Set up my TX and sent a slack handful of pellets target bound and just as I got her on the sweetspot another collared dove sat on the line about 45 yds away. Rifle to the shoulder and a clean headshot followed. Proper impressed with her, the lack of recoil and accuracy for an old springer is immense. And made a lovely dove and bacon salad as soon as I got home which was delicious. nobby
Have to agree happy shooter, I'm sure most people here have a soft spot for springers as they are generally what we started on as kids but they do give you an extra big smile when you have a successful hunt with them. I will definatley be taking her out a lot more as she is just as effective as my r10 shame about the noise tho.
chandler
No matter how great the benefits of a PCP for hunting, and there are several, a day with my HW77 is always more rewarding
