Back in July my wife let me buy a cheap(£500)swb Vitara convertable which was being sold via ebay by a chap local to me, the idea being to save taking my work vehicles down the farm and scratching them to bits.

It had about 6 weeks MOT but thought I'd put it in for test to make sure it was upto scratch and get 13 months ticket on it, it failed :( and with MOT's being all electronic now, it's then registed as having no MOT so I couldn't use it for the remainder of the six weeks MOT it would have had

Have been trying to get the money together to get it fixed and retested but everytime I had got a bit of money together the thieving idiot I had working for me would break/bend something.

Well, It passed MOT TODAY :) :) :) A bit of welding where someone welded it for me in July but didn't cut back far enough, new rear brake cylinders, handbrake cables, wiper blades, rear light interference = rotten bulb holder (rear bumper has to come off to change a bulb apparently) and a centre flexi brake pipe replaced.

Now for some Nato Green paint :)

Tyres are a bit of a mixture of std 3/4 worn winter road patterns.

Am waiting till I go to the flush and try nick some tyres off the norfolk boys tractors :good::P

Now that I've got rid of my leech of a driver, I might get some money(cash) coming in, have to save for some off road remoulds.

Save for remoulds????

You can pick up some runway enduro AT's for £70 a corner... :good:

Yes, Save for some chunky remoulds,

Shooting isn't just for rich folk, us paupers can have a go too. :good:

God I never realised they were so horrible to drive :o wanders about, no acceleration to speak off, wooly gear change, draughty (it's a convertable)

And the new MOT is just printed out on A4 sheet of paper :o That'll be hard to forge then <_<

I loved my vitara, thought it drove really well! Really surprised to hear someone say they are a bad drive...

Well in fairness it maybe that it's completely different to what I'm used to driving, a VW T5 or a Transit 12 seat minibus, both of which are significantly wider, heavier, and longer wheelbase and more modern.

I dare say I'll tax it next week and start 'blatting about':yes: and get accustomed to being canned in a tin.

I have got a 1994 soft top JLX that I am about to scrap if you want it for parts.

I have also got a set of badass steel vitara rims with omnidirectional off road tyres. They look like this - 1.jpg?dt=4ae9f3473b73138687b289b28fbdc192

Let me know if you want either :good:
