I would go the 2nd hand route,nice English/scottish boxlock for £1500 could get a tidy gun,I doubt over time you would lose any money on it.If your main reason against them is 'all have short stocks' are you a gorilla? Typical 14.5-15 stocks are the norm,what size do you need?

I think the Ugartachea is a good looking gun,however if you buy new I do think you will lose 30% by taking it out of the shop...If you prefer foreign,AYA No 2? bit smart for rough shooting but within your budget 2nd hand?

For the first paragraph. As you're walking up you don't want to keep crawling around the floor for the empties so do't need an ejector. Therefore, you've plenty of dosh for a good one.

Have a look on the ugatecha website 'www.doubleshotguns.com',they have some lovelly guns :good:

I have got the ugatecha grade 1v classic sxs 12g £1800 new,bought mine s/hand and its the best gun i have owned for build quality/relibility and just shear ease of use fit,its improved my shooting,is a great pigeon gun in the hide and light enough to carry all day.My only niggle would be the solid wood butt......owwwwww :oops:
