Dead-Eyed Duck Posted May 26, 2006 Report Share Posted May 26, 2006 Finally, before I bore you to death, this attachment shows the very first group that I shot with the gun after the barrel had been shortened. The group was shot at 55 yards from a prone position (no bipod then). Nothing to boast about I know, but I remember being extremely chuffed at the time. apbuild Posted May 26, 2006 Report Share Posted May 26, 2006 Shortening a rimfire barrel should not affect accuracy too much. I have my .22 ruger barrel shortened to the minimum legal requirement and even then, with the sound moderator in place, the accuracy is as good as it was with a 21'' barrel. Rob.
