Bigamos
So, is it a good time to be out at the pigeons...! On my permission there is lots of pigeons, but they don't seem to want to leave the trees...! Is there a good time of te days, to shoot at them... Or any other tips.... The fields are all still in barley stubble etc....!
monkeyboots
we have shot pigeons the last 2 weekends at roost shooting and all of them had barley in their crops so they must be feeding on the stubble fields
Cranfield
Anytime you find the birds feeding, is a good time and place to try decoying them. The barley stubbles sound ideal.
Mike525steel
If you've got no game shooting on your permissions then root shooting this time of year is good

BenBhoy
i went out yesterday to decoy on rape. no interest at all but got a few from 4pm until dark as they made to roost. fingers crossed they turn attention to rape soon, 90% of my permission wheat this year, so banking on one big field of rape.
