No you don't have to, but a gun dealer told that you don't get the same sore of piff, as I was telling him I was looking for 3inch chambers for Geese, and he said it makes no difference. :good:

i`m confused what a piff is?

it does make a difference what cart lenght you use, and brand. it is advised to use 3" on geese if you are using steel etc. just to get the volume there in the shell for the big shot.

larger hull get more powder and or shot, creating better performance, more versatility.

if you have a 2,3/4" chamber, shoot tmx or nice shot.

Well thats rules out CompX then..... wondered why i could never hit anything with them

 You will probably only notice the difference if your an AA or possibly a A class shooter as the difference is so slight.

Just made the comment to give a shooter every advantage possible really. ;)

By piff I mean force, I am only trying to recit what I had heard. It is just that I had heard when you use say 70mm carts in a 3 inch chambered gun you don't seem to get the full whack out of it?.. :hmm:

would be like having longer forcing cones put in, reduces the felt recoil in the gun, it does work and you can feel the difference.

Martin.
