Blunderbuss
Did you know there is a Marmite museum in the US? :o I jest you not! The Missouri Marmite museum. As a thrilling, must see attraction, it's right up there with the likes of the Keswick pencil museum Edited December 27, 2011 by Blunderbuss

jacksdad
I love the stuff, but recently bought some Marmite breakfast bar things, the rolled oat bar affairs.....they were DISGUSTING! dogrun
Just got another jar and to me it looks different -- The old stuff was so good if you got a string of it on neck of jar it would stay there - and also where you scooped a knife blades worth out the hole stayed there - Now this new stuff seems lighter in colour and runnier - the strings on neck have run back in and surface is smooth again -- Seems to taste same though. -- Anyone else done a in depth study and noticed this ? Dave yea i love it and trout love it yum yum.

ziplex
Love it............why can't some company put together a tub of butter with a thick swirl of marmite running through it When I was fishing regularly years ago chasing the Bristol channel cod and coming home at all hours, the first thing i'd do is chuck some poppy seed bread in the toaster then spread it with loads of decent butter and a gloop of marmite, sometimes at 3 o'clock in the morning, happy days Oh, and my mrs bought me a gift pack with a jar of marmite and a 'marmite' toast rack/knife for christmas
Diceman
Marmite is banned in Denmark - the Danes are not stupid! Nonsense. Please don't believe everything you read in the papers.

DSPUK
Have to dissagree Paul-- a few months ago Marmite was black and thick - jar I have today is brown and soft enough to run back down sides of jar and form a smooth top on what's left - still tastes as good on my morning toast though. Dave ps - just had a thought - Wife got it - wonder if it's low fat or something stupid

woodcock11
Nonsense. Please don't believe everything you read in the papers. My wife is Danish and we spent a month in Denmark in July 2011 - not a jar of Marmite to be seen - allelujah! :good: interesting fact, if you keep stiring marmite it turns nearly white!!! What on earth would you want to do that for? Watching paint dry is MUCH more exciting!
-Mongrel-
Trout love it? How do you present it? Can only think that you'd combine it into a bread paste....why that would be especially good on Trout I have no eye deer!
