Cranfield
Fishing is a good thing to be doing in the Summer, when the shooting gets quiet.

I have always found that I appreciate my Shooting more if I do it less often and fill in the gaps with some quality time on the riverbank ! FM. SPARKIE
sorry forgot to reply .i came 8th out of 23 with a net only weighing 13lb 5 carp around 2-3lb each and a few bits i lost more carp than i landed due to bloody reeds i was fishing 13.5mtrs of my pole to the far bank and feeding caster and pellets the far bank was just mud no grass with a small amount of reeds to the left which were hanging down the carp was up against the bank in aboud 12inch of water grabbing the pellets that had hit the bank and rolled down they were very weary and as soon as they felt the hook they shot straight into the reeds on the day 29lb won at the other end of the lake and 1 person dry netted smallist amount caught weighed 10oz so dont think i did too bad as i have never fished there before .my next match is in sept so hope i can do better there willhave to fish at the venue before the day get some inside info on it . magman
hope i can do better there willhave to fish at the venue before the day get some inside info on it . if you do fish the venue before just dont make the mistake of sticking to what you caught on in practice . seen this done many time,s . fish habbit,s can change on a daily basis. also feed the inside up heavy about an hour before you finish, about 6" from the bank . this has won me alot of match,s as the bigger fish get used to people chucking there bait down the inside on leaving. on my last match i put a pint of maggots down and alot of pellet caught over 15lb of fish 6" from the bank in the last 30 min,s. tight line,s rob
