Matt Gould
hello people im realy want to buy a secondhand whinchester sx3 but after doing some searches on the net some people say they jam all the but on the other hand most on here love em. i dont know weathere to buy it or not now these are some of the other reviews i have read link below > http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews125749.html
Dr_evil
I fed mine with 24g shells and it didnt jam, only thing I didnt like was that it was a bit stiff to put back together and I kept trapping my thumb i the mag
kent
Ok there is nothing thats ever been made in a factory were every one was perfect. My SX3 has had a grand total of two stoppages one was with very light 2 1/2" shells when brand new one was with a 3 1/2" super mag when the previous shell failed to eject (it seemed overly long and even with the bolt pulled fully back i struggled like heck to pick it out and needed to use an improvised tool). I might guess its done around 1500-2000 shells and has seen much use on the marsh not exactly a forgiving environment. Many critise things on the net yet one must realise some have ulteriour motives and some are just plain fools and some are genuine.

Mike525steel
They are a great gun. And remember a lot of people that slag them off haven't got one
Alanl50
I bought mine brand new in June 2010 never had a hicup stamped on the gun is: 2,3/4" - 3.00" - 3,1/2" only use these size cartridges. obviously if it the 3,1/2" version. The only issue was the gas piston spring which on some guns broke this was recognised by Winchester Browning and sorted. You can like me prefer to have a spare spring and I consider from reports a better spring as a backup a lot cheaper than a Winchester/Browning one from these people and there easy to fit: http://gas-piston-springs.com/index.html Dont worry go for it if your not sure get a gunsmith to appraise it for you it will cost obviously or just order a spare sring from the link above. Brigsy
Don't forget people generally don't write about something if it has not given them anything to complain about.

Did you use a 3.5'' shell in a 3'' chambered gun

kent
I am, thats how it reads The SX3 is a 31/2" gun and i dont recon any 3" could take that treatment, i have put it down to a faulty hull or some dirt retarding the full extent of the action. 2 jambs in around 1500 or so rounds aint bad for any gun even a break open ejector can suffer the odd glitch

Cannon
My SX3 has cycled everything I've put through it since day one, without a single jam. Feels really solid too and is simple to clean.
