Cranfield
We have three pigeon nests in our garden, two nests have sitting birds and the third one has a lone squab, which had its first flying lesson today. It settled on the bird bath to get its breath back and then sat in one of our plum trees for most of the day. I didn't notice the parents going near it, but I was not watching it all the time. Its now sitting on a branch near to the nest and I assume its in roosting mode. My Wife has become very protective of "our" birds and I have promised never to shoot any pigeons born in our garden. Because I am a pigeon shooter of many years standing, she is convinced I will recognise these birds, if I see them again. Little does she realise, I have trouble recognising myself in the bathroom mirror some mornings.

Cranfield
cranners what has she called them ? :yp: Dead Dead n Deader More like "Near Miss", "Just out of range", "I'm sure I hit it". Thats a fair commentary for a normal day in my hide. She hasn't actually named them, but she did put some more food on the bird table about 7pm, "just in case he wants something to eat before he goes to sleep". I am going to have to make sure no harm comes to them all the time they are in the garden, or I won't hear the last of it.
