nugget
Hi all I've decided to move my gun cabinet from up stairs to down stairs and was just wondering if I have to inform the firearms department before I move it or can I move it first then let them know. Imperfection
Just move it then either ring or email them afterwards saying what you've done and then its upto them if they want to inspect it or not.
Dekers
Hi all I've decided to move my gun cabinet from up stairs to down stairs and was just wondering if I have to inform the firearms department before I move it or can I move it first then let them know. You have no legal obligation to advise them at all, safe storage of guns is your responsibility. As a matter of courtesy feel free to tell them what you have done and leave any actions to them. If you are concerned about anything make sure you communicate with them in a traceable format, ie email/recorded letter, not phone.
artschool
I did this over Christmas. I called my fao first and he said he would like to see inspect it once it's in. a word of caution just be careful that the new location isn't less secure or more visible. they won't like that. CZ550Kevlar
Always better to be on the side of caution, take 2 minutes to call you FEO let them know you plan to move it and you really can`t go wrong.
mossy835
you do not have to inform them.
Beardo
Send them a letter or email, that way you are covered. I doubt they'll reinspect but better err on the side of caution
