Gimlet
Don't get it dirty in the first place. Just put boiling water in it and take a tub of teabags, coffee, a small container of milk or milk powder in the summer. Flask stays pristine and drinks taste as good as they do at home. And as hot. Soup in a flask is for people who still use travel blankets.

Vince Green
Good old fashioned washing soda is best. Put some in, top up with hot water and let it stand.
Blackpowder
Again hats of to pigeon watch members with all the advice on flask cleaning, I opted for the steradent and boiling water cure, inside of flask now changed from cow by product colour to bright and shiny again. Cheers Blackpowder
