Alpha Mule
Before I get my passport out and venture over th ebridge, can anyone recommend or otherwise this shop (just outside Bristol). No flame wars please, nor character assasinations. Cheers.
ajb403
Only been in there a couple of times, the guys were friendly enough and they're reasonably well stocked. If you're heading over to Bristol there's also the Braces of Bristol shop on the A37 in the Knowle/Totterdown area, that I can recommend. I think one of the staff is a PW member too. sandspider
New Avon has a decent selection of guns and bits, they're cheap for some things. The older guy Richard can be a bit brusque to deal with unless you're a regular / spend lots of money. The younger guy (can't remember his name) knows his stuff. Definitely worth a visit. MartynGT4
Put it like this, if you go in wearing tweed brandishing a wad of fifties you'll probably be ok. Otherwise you'll be faced with probably the most rude and arrogant gun dealer you're ever likely to meet. If he gets a sniff of you being a clay shooter or someone who doesn't spend thousands on driven days each season and he'll do his best to get you out the shop as quick as he can. Know of some who have had some very bad experiences there, pm for details, and I've definately witnessed the shocking attitude. Might sound like I've got a axe to grind but that's not the case, just don't want to see a fellow shooter waste a journey. Braces on the other hand are on the other end of the scale and really couldn't be better!
