poorpeet
Hi, Thinking of a day trip to france as there are some cheap half term offers & I wondered if you can buy cartridges over there and if so are they cheaper and would you be allowed to bring them back? Any ideas?
Blunderbuss
I know you can get a European Firearms Pass from your FEO. I'm sure with that and your SGC you'd be fine bringing them back in no problem, it's whether this would be sufficient to purchase them in France to start with? Ask BASC, they should know. mowdy
I often buy shotgun slugs in France (more choice) I just show my Euro firearms pass in the shop. Shotgun cartridges are are however more expensive than in the UK i have seen them priced for 7-12 euros a box in Decathlon. Bob
Steel100
poorpeet, Assuming that you are OK with an EFP and your SGC, remember that you will need clearance from the ferry company and they may limit you to 200 / 250 cartridges in total. I've travelled with ammo through both Hull and Dover and the ammo limit imposed was quite small. Hope you can work something out! poorpeet
Thanks for the advice everyone. I thought there was a chance that they might be cheaper over there. Never mind I guess I'll stick to fags and booze.
