Dont.know if this has been mentioned before but i came accross this website today where you pay a yearly subscription (first year £130 every other year is £80) then you can ring up and just book a field to go shooting. I think that if i dont have any luck in the next month or two with gaining my own permissions i will probably join this while i carry on trying.

It only covers the north and east yorkshire

Has anyone used this sort of thing?

I am a member of Pest Rid and have been for a few years. For anyone in this area with no shooting permission it is excellent value for money.I have my own permissions but still renew my membership every year.

Like anything else it is best if you are able to do a bit of reconnaissance before you book a field. But there are pigeons on the rape fields and if you want some pigeon shooting either join Pest Rid or Nppc.

How anyone can complain about the price charged to join either club is beyond me.

In terms of what some on here charge for a day out shooting it is a pittance.

If you have not got shooting join a club or get door knocking.

No one is going to give their hard earned permissions away.

I think it was a big mistake. The bloke who runs it lives nearer to you than to Pocklington.

I think the reason you "RATTLED HIS CAGE" as you put it would be due to the fact that the op was asking for advice and you came up with an irrelivant and pointless comment like that when the only resemblance to pest rid is the guys first name. :good:
