owain
Hi all. I am due to pick up my new cz550 in .308 caliber this week and was wondering if anybody is using privi 150g soft points through the same rifle. It's a 20" barrel stutzen if that makes a difference. The only reason I ask is because I can get privi for £12 for 20 but it's a 80 mile round trip so I would have to buy a few boxes to make it worth while. Any feedback appreciated. Cheers owain. Vince Green
There is no other way than to buy some and try them. But they won't be wasted because its ideal cheap ammo for shooting your barrel in. Also, even if the groups arent brilliant they will be good enough for getting your scope pretty close to on aim. You will then just have to tweak it slightly later if you switch to another brand. But all in all its worth buying. I use it all the time and its great but you never can tell with ammo. However for the first 40 or so shots any cheap ammo is good sense while everyhthing is settling down. You never know you might be delighted with it. lineshooter
I`ve shot their 150g FMJ in my 550 when I did`nt have time to load my own, and I had some good results out to 300yds, I`ve not tried Privi soft point but as mentioned if you cant get it to group at least it`ll do to run the barrel in. owain
Thanks for the info lads. Looks like it could be worth going for a few boxes to try. Cheers Owain
steve_b_wales
I've used PRVI ammo in .308, .22-250,and .243 without any problems with accuracy. My mate also uses it in .223,with good results.
Dekers
I seem fortunate that PRVI works to a perfectly acceptable standard for my needs in all my centrefires. I use the 150g SP in my Rem 700 .308, but the only way you will know is to try!
