Used to shoot wasps when ever I got the chance. 30 to 40 yards with a .22 air rifle using 3 x magnification scope. If you cover your back plate with white paper they leave a little yellow and brown streek on the paper when you hit them. ( they also seem to be atracted to white things )

2P at 25yds , these are made of steel with a bronze surface , hit it with .22lr .

Dust caps/valve caps are a good one for close ish range

You could put some tiny 2cm long pin type nails into some wood (just start them not completly in) and try and hit the tops if you get a hit the nail will be hammered in. Saw the same done on YouTube with a .22 rimmy using proper nails.

My work partner and I shoot through the hole in a polo at 35 yrds with his air rifle. first one to smash the polo loses

the old sherbet flying saucer sweets were good for air rifles,latest must be empty shotgun carts at 185 yds with .222 lol.flies of dung with a springer past a bit of time away to when we were kids.

I always like shooting eggs. Splat well good.

 

Also if you shoot an apple, wasps go in the hole you made, and then you can shoot em out. I have yet to try this, but whack some jam on something and the wasps go and eat it, then you can splat em.

 

Tried a swollen up youghurt pot, which was ok... but did another one with the HMR which was far more impressive. Could smell the vaporised youghurt miles away.
