pigeon controller
We were called out on Friday to a field that was "Blue Over" when we arrived there were about eighty pigeons in the trees we asked the farmer if it had been shot and he said no, so we set up and put a shot up to move them out of the trees we then heard a shot from the next field which is a different farm. Nothing returned. When we were leaving the farmers wife told us it had been shot the day before and she had told her husband to tell us when he phoned us. We then had a drive round the drilled fields with no birds showing. We eventually found some on a small field of rape and ended up with forty six. Saturday morning was very wet and we set up on a rape field we had left from the week before with about one hundred and fifty birds in the trees when we walked across the field they split into two flocks and went in both directions in an hour we had four return so we packed up and went looking. We found some on rape again and set up they were very spooky and we had to change the pattern and move the magnet a few times to get them to decoy but we ended the day with sixty four. Today we went out and found some on the rape again so we left them and continued to look. We found some on clover and went to the farm to ask permission. It was not his land but he gave us the go ahead on his twelve hundred acres of wheat and rape, we looked at the rape but it was clear of pigeons. We went to the owner of the clover field but she was anti everything. We eventually went back to the rape we had seen in the morning and set up the wind was very strong and cold and it made the shots difficult due to the birds jinxing in the wind. We shot it to the death and the farmer came down to see how many we had shot so the photo was in the dark. We picked up ninety and it was a good day.
