taxidermy dave
 i went to check the young ferrets this morning and found 4 of em dead,if they were a few days old i could understand but there getting on for about 6 weeks.the only thing i can think of was it being the heat that done it?? does anyone have another possible reason for it ? dave
henry d
Heat is a killer and you would have little or no indication of it happening so don`t beat yourself up about it. In hot weather I use hessian sacks soaked in water and hung over the roof and front of the cub and as they dry in the sun they cool it. Sorry to hear about it.
Ferret Master
Hi, I am very sorry to hear that. I think it may be the heat. I hang a wet towel over the front of the cub in this weather and keep it moist. Make sure the nestbox is quite well ventilated and out of the sun. Hope this helps a bit and I would get a vet to see them just incase. FM

Whitebridges
Dave condolences mate. I was at Wimbledon yesterday (the missus likes her tennis). It was 40c on the centre court and I would have gladly taken a pill, it was that hot.
