bighit1985
Hey, Im a lefty to and also been shooting a right handed gun before, As many will say on here, its all about gun fit and gun mount. If your using a gun which is not fitted then you will struggle to hit some clays/birds. So if your happy with the gun, then get a fitting done and get the gun fitted to you, not trying to fit to a gun. Happy shooting. Im in the same boat and will be getting a gun fitting next pay day and then the gun goes off to the gunsmith!!!
Shropshire_Lad
yes it will be. Pattern a straight cast 20 last weekend at 25 yds and as a lefty with a fat face was way off to the right. With my heavy left hand cast on guns I have been shooting better than ever. atvb Paul.
goose basher
stuart i am a lefty as well and shot right handed guns for years because they were cheap i now have two lanbers both 30" sporting luxs 1 for the wildfowling and one for clays also i bought this year a lefty fabarm azur auto whish i had spent the money years ago, it may all be in the mind but my shooting has improved ten fold also aided by practicing skeet and now shoot 75-85 in sporting with 91 being my best and 96 in skeet its also helped with my game shooting now i shoot above average even on high stuff. hope this helps goosebasher

My sxs went from cast off to a huge cast on with no problems of creaping back. If it is a shared gun then not so easy as you will be out numbered. atvb Paul. HDAV
hi thanks for the comment would love to get it fitted but it was my grandfathers and was left to the family and everyone else is right handed so have been thinking about buying another as i do like the gun I am in same boat or was naturally right handed left master eye inherited grandfathers RH SxS. I now shoot left handed with a factory LH 525, had SxS cast on but it has moved back and with risk of cracking don't fancy trying it again. Get a gun that fits and has the right cast... But before going too far check your eye dominance if not left eye Dom consider changing shoulders..... I can shoot off both but better off left hand. EdSolomons
If your hitting low 60s ex 70 then it won't be the gun that's holding you back. I'd be more inclined to look at the technique/mental side of it as a priority.

NEver been a problem wityh my left hander. Guess it all depends on the stock on your R/H gun.

Sandbank
Straight stock guns will shoot well enough from either shoulder but cannot compare with a properly fitting gun. Some years ago, I briefly had a partner with a 14 year old son who was left-handed. He really got into clays and I bought a left handed Remi. 1100 for him to use. I retained the gun for a while and shot it off my right shoulder. No real problems with mount, just got fed up with setting my hair on fire!
