markyboy
I've been looking at some binos and need a pair for spotting geese, pigeon etc. Nothing top end just a good reliable half decent priced set. Like nikon or somthing . Any suggestions ? Mark
Zulu
After trying a couple of sub £100 jobs I settles on a pair of Vortex Diamondbacks 10 x 42 and have been well happy with them , about £170 when I got them about 1 yr ago , lifetime warranty . Have a google or ebay . Nikon actions are worth a look too and a bit cheaper . Julian Edited March 17, 2012 by Zulu
Boristhedog
Have a look at these My link I've a pair of the 10x42 waterproof ones and they are just the job, and better than the price range would indicate.
steve_b_wales
Have a look at the HAWKE range of bino's. Excellent quality and good value for money.

Fisherman Mike
I would advise you to avoid a 10 x magnification unless you have very steady hands or will use a tripod. Even the shake caused by respiration will distort the image. I assume you wish to buy in the budget end of the spctrum ( excuse the pun) if so choose a pair which has the best optical reputation. Opticron lense syatems are very good and the attached would best suit your purpose as a "spotting" pair of binoculars. http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-opticron-aspheric-wa-8x40/p15250
