wildfowler.250
Does anyone have any useful tips or videos on how to knock a bouncer/floating decoy together? I intend to buy a proper one,(old one broke) but id like to be able to knock something together just as a tempory decoy. I think there was a video of 'andy crow' on fieldsports Britain making one with a few sticks,(one up the jacksie and one through the wings somehow?). If anyone knows where I could find a link for that or any other tips that would be great! ATB!

Sharpshooter.123
Long 4-5 ft stick sharpen end and push up the a**e into the head and then get another stick about 8-10 inches sharpen one end and push all the way through the side of the bird, cut a slot in each end and tuck one of the feathers in or cable tie Edited March 25, 2012 by Sharpshooter.
steve_b_wales
Many years ago, I used to use metal coat hangers to support the weight of the dead bird. I used to shape the hanger so that the bird rested in it,and used elastic bands to hold the wings in place. The hanger was fixed to a six foot (or more) length of bamboo cane. It worked okay, but not as good as the modern ones you can get nowadays. Steve.
