Chr15j
I have the opportunity to buy a Theoben rapid 7 skeleton stock fdor about £250. I would need to get a slit added but want to know what people think about the idea, is it worth getting? Already have a CZ .22, and non FAC fenman and falcon fn 12. Thoughts please gents...(and ladies)

barney 66
I have a Fenman, which I love!!! I also have the Falcon FN12 SW (which I also love) How does the Rapid compare to these 2? Depends how your comparing it,heavier because of the bottle, but depends what size bottle you got , i think 400cc is standard FAC but you can get 500, good for small areas were the .22 lr will ricochet, easy to repair/reseal, cant think how else to compare it, If you need to know anything else just ask,i wouldnt get rid of mine its 2nd one, also a lot of choice of after market stocks for them
Chr15j
I assume 250 is a good price then? Anything to lOok out for on then? Especially FAC ones?
the enigma
If everything is as it should be,yeah,it's a good price. If possible, run a few shots over a chrono.Check for marks on the block and screw heads,as these are usually signs it's been "tinkered" with. I've recently got a Mk1 FAC, which turned out to need nothing more than a service, but the dealer sorted it out FOC, and now it's shooting very nicely. Dekers
If you NEED a FAC air rifle (and only you can decide that), you are unlikely to do better than a R7! Assuming of course it is in good order!
barrelsniffer
That is very cheap..i have x2 Rapids one standard and one FAC ... Had them many yrs and hope to continue to use them for many more yrs...Superb rifles.
Salop Matt
If you can strech to a daystate they will be better than a rapid. Its what am looking for right now ! I had a rapid and the only problem was leaking bottles and to many self claimed experts out there that seem to do more damage than repair, the down side to being " easy to work on yourself" that combimed with a hit and miss company ! Also not masses of choice out there for FAC air guns currently !
barney 66
The only time the bottle has leaked on mine is when there has been the tiniest bit of muck around the O ring seal, not been out with it for 3 months took the bottle off yesterday ready for an outing and its still full of air ,keep it clean tiniest smear of the proper grease and change the O ring as a course of maintainence and it should be fine,as said above Daysate great rifles, had a mk3 a few years back, but you wont find one at that price and they will be a lot dearer to repair/service,take it at that price,if you dont like it you wont lose on it, good luck whatever you choose to do
