ayano3
Ok, this is the best place to ask for info on the Browning B80 3 shot auto. I know the whereabouts of a Browning B80 for sale, not the most tidy of guns so I understand but they are not the newest of models etc so its never going to be in mint condition is it. I just wondered what your opinions of this particular gun are and a rough ball park figure of the value of a mid range/poor condition early model would be. Any pointers to look for ?? any reliability issues ?? any comments will be grateful as you guys may have used or owned one in the past or maybe even still use one on a daily basis. Looking forward to you replies.
Salop Matt
My dads got one and its great, stamped painted PB Berretta to. Very well made run and has seen loads of action, the first 12g i shot with, never missed a beat on 28g+ shells, easy to maintain and look after and just generally a great bit of kit ! I saw one in 20bore last year at £250 and regret not buying it now as it would of been novel to have and would sit nicely along side my dads and also my 20g mossburg pump ! I would say go for it as its a good bit of kit ! As i said before i regret not picking up the 20g vertion i saw and i bet i dont see another now i have the pennys. shaun4860
Most of the parts are interchangable with the Beretta 300 series so spares shouldnt be an issue
Scully
Have a Browning 2000,which is a very similar design, which I enjoy very much. Browning/Beretta parts interchangeable?Wasn't aware of that.
al4x
had one for close on 20 years, very old and well used when I got it and it still works perfectly. Perfect illustration of why its madness to buy a hatstand Price wise no idea this was under £200 but thats a fair while ago
VicW
The Browning B80 is a Beretta 303 clone. It has the Beretta receiver, bolt and trigger group,a Beretta barrel but has Browning wood and Browning Invector chokes. The working parts are interchangeable with the 303 and in fact the trigger group will fit a 391 series Beretta, something I have done when trying to solve a problem with a 391. Vic. ayano3
Thanks for all the replies. They sound a decent bit of kit and parts shouldnt be a problem if I ever need any. I tried it out last night and it come up well, and recycled Eley Firsts 28g fine. It has 1/4 choke that's stuck in it but its what I would have chose for shooting from a hide anyway. So now its negotiate a price and its mine by the weekend hopefully. Thanks again for your contributions.
