malkiserow
Does the place provide tea and coffee, sugar milk etc? Crowman is offering venison ... Nick any ideas?
hendersons
You go for it Duncan if there are any leftovers we will stick them In the mix but if there isn't well still be ok. Save me a glass of potion or two though
Thunderbird
I will. I'll try and save you a nibble on Saturday but it's more of a taster than a full 'main course for 12' job. I'm figuring we'll have a few people making or bringing stuff. My chutney might be better with Terry's cheese too. Sunday will most likely be the main showcase for potions too I guess? hendersons
Does the place provide tea and coffee, sugar milk etc? Crowman is offering venison ... Nick any ideas? Yeah loads but they all involve bread, butter and my stomach
Thunderbird
Does the place provide tea and coffee, sugar etc Doubt it. Mike if you're able to a few domestics on this kind if thing would be helpful. I can always give the chap a call if you're busy. It's 'self catering' though so I would assume NOTHING is included. It's £15 for a bed after all! EDIT: Looks like Mike and I will be arriving around about the 13:30 mark to bagsy the beds furthest from the gaylord block. We'll get a few things squared away regarding security (if yer name's not dahn, yer not comin' in) and make sure the fridges etc are switched on. I saw a load of wild garlic out today too, not sure if it's ready (probably not...) but worth a shout I expect. Weather forecast is getting better: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/gl7 EDIT 2: OK update on the food. Having just spoken with Nick the Sunday catering is sorted, being a mixture of planned dishes and a bit of a play with some of Nick's toys too. Saturday dinner, as before, bring food and be prepared to show off and cook it (or to let someone else cook it). I think we've done enough planning now and so let's let the event unfold. It's going to be good. Edited May 11, 2012 by Thunderbird
Blunderbuss
Just put a big batch (about a dozen) game pasties in the oven. A traditional Cornish pasty recipe but with rabbit and pheasant instead of beef. Proper lard and butter shortcrust pastry as well! I imagine these being consumed more for light healthy snacks during the day, rather than for the evening. I'll also bring some beer and some of this years sloe gin
malkiserow
I've just picked up some game from Crowman (including venison) so will be cooking some oriental stuff with help from MIL. Rhubarb still growing but will stalk it in the morning and hopefully will get some more success then you lame Gloucestershire gaylords who cannot even bag a little muntie

njc110381
I'm going to check out a very well hung Deer that's in my chiller. If all is well I'm bringing fillet as the freezer doesn't look good. I've been shooting six times this week and got nothing, typical really isn't it?! I'll get up early tomorrow for one last try but don't fancy my chances. I've got a bottle of sloe gin and a bottle of whiskey.... That should keep me cheerful for one night at least.

Thunderbird
Yeah fraid so. No live dogs I'm afraid. The caged animals are for the gladiatorial arena we've set up. We'll just bung some sand over the blood then round two is the Greco-Roman naked wrestling. Bring your own palm oil.
