Hi all,

Glad to see its all coming along swimmingly.

Mike do you still have me down for both nights?

Sorry ive not been on much lately work and such like has been causing me too many late nights and early mornings.

Just to let you all know im more than happy to sort the food on the sunday.I was just going to bring some stuff and see what I could come up with.Ive had to scrap the paella as the spanish people have gone a bit quiet. But i'm sure there will be something of that nature. If there is any leftovers knocking about I will have a go at those too kinda a jamming session with food where anybody else who fancies it can come play too.Could somebody let me know the numbers expected, particuarly for the sunday as most of these things have passed me by lately.

I wont be attending the clay shoot as im still having problems with my ears.

I will be back on in a bit just got to nip and do some puddings for some people

yep two nights Nick and...........you get special privileges.......dont ask.. just make sure you lock the bedroom door and dont have your underpants on the wrong way round. :lol:

I'm pretty close to that being a fat lad from Sheffield. That is until saturday night when I become Chardonnay princess of the dance floor. I suppose a Leeds accent shouldn't be too hard to muster.

Special privileges? I'll bring the baby oil and make sure I have some fresh pants.

Are we still on for the air guns?

I could also do a bit of butchery if called upon.

Are the Saturday night people hanging about for a while Sunday or are we throwing them out (just to give me some idea of how many to cater for)

I think they will be mosying on down the road home on Sunday. yep still on for the Air guns... Sunday afternoon..

Im taking the day off Friday to Knock up some target boards and we can have a proper 20 30 40 m trial but between you and me zero the scope at 35 because im going to change it ( shh keep it quiet)

 

Actually we could probably have a disco in the Physcadellic room.

I might be able to make the Sunday shoot depending on time/location but I don't to camping and don't drink so I think I'll miss the other activities.

I'm off out to try again for a Deer today. Nick, if you could do a butchery demo that would be brilliant... Assuming I can find something for you to demo with that is!

 

As far as game is concerned is it ok just to bring them along in the fur and we can make something for the BBQ? Or would it be better if it was prepped before hand? Reason I ask is that I can usually get the game but my cooking/preparation isn't too special! :oops:

In the fur or feather is good. It will give us chance to get our hands dirty.

It is yes, down by the cattle market farm shop, which will mean something to some of you. I've just spoken to them, nice fella.

Shooting from ten till one PM. They have fibre carts for sale (bring licence).

 

Job's a goodun. 50 Sporting for £12. £10 for second card.

If we knocked down a house or ten I could hit from Where I live with a hmr. I know it sounds a bit of a strange thing to say but the guy is the most camp shooting chap I've ever met (not counting brown sauce) despite being married I'm sure he is inclined the other way. I reckon if you send the youngest freshest faced of our number to flirt with him then discounts aplenty

Ok gents the mrs has stopped going on at me now so here is the start of the list as sent in my email:

 

Bit of beef, some pork, veg, salads, few nibbles, and a few other bits that escape me right now. Unfortunately nothing from me with bullet or pellet holes in as Ive not being shooting lately.

Hoping to do a Spanish tortilla, some other tapas stuff, perhaps a cold meat platter with a bit of mozzarella, balsamic vinegar etc.

 

With a bit of a dearth of hunted game if you have any 'signature dishes' come and make 'em.

 

I think Nick used the phrase 'food jam' which I feel is apt. Nick we'll update you on Sat PM when we know what we've got.

 

As Nick is a modest cove given to the master understatement, I've seen the "bit of beef" in question...:good:

Crowman mentioned some legs of venison if his nippers have not eaten them!

 

Is mole on the menu again?

 

I've also booked some escorts who will be coming down from Bradford at about 10PM in their minibus.
