wymberley
If you are thinking of/applying for a SGC and your constabulary area is the Met, on no account read the back page of the Subject magazine - if possible get someone to tear it out before you open it. Alternatively, move to the Thames Valley patch.

shaun4860
Its on about firearms licensing departments and turn around times the average department has 5 officers. Now the Met has 82 officers and turn around an average of 1.6 yes thats ONE POINT SIX licenses a week  wonder what the rest of them are doing in the office
HW682
That is 1.6 EACH. Which apparently puts them at the bottom of the survey with Thames Valley at the top with their staff of 12 averaging 12.9 each.
LondonLuke
I got my licence in 4 weeks from the Met last month so wouldn't take too seriously.
Loki
Hi Shaun 4860 - probably putting together their idea of 'firearms policy' or interpretation of the Home Office Guidance..... If TVP service is that good now I will not be waiting the 12mth + that my last 3 renewals seem to have taken. The last one took 3 inquisitions sorry - 'interviews' - FEO and then Senior FEO x2. BASC attempted in intervene on my behalf but were in Mike Eveleighs words 'stone-walled'....
