anser2
I only ever bought one pair of neopreans , but have not worn them for years as I get far too hot in them even in severe cold. I use DIAWA nylon cheast waders , just about cool enough to walk and wear on the marsh after November. I usualy get 2-3 seasons out of them and last pair I got in 2009 were about £35,00. harrycatcat1
Well I dont disagree with what anser2 says because for a season and a half I used some PVC waders from Lidl for £9.99 and I was never really cold but when they sprung a leak/dropped to bits I got some 5mm neoprene Bison ones off fleebay for about £45 ideal for when its very cold but I dont think I should wear them early in the season

A five minute fix, and they'll be good to go for September.

sodylt1
Being an old fashioned type of chap I had uesd thigh waders and cut off pvc trousers for years up to 2 seasons ago when I finally got fed up of getting a wet **** etc. So I finally made the change to chest waders and having spoken to mates who replace waders almost every season I made the financial commitment and got a pair from Cabelas (cost about £125 inc inport etc) and I have to say its one of the best things I ever did. Just being able to plonk down almost anywhere without the fear of a soaking is great and due to the thinsulate lining in the boots I no longer suffer from cold feet! Cabelas 3 mm neoprene light mag chest waders ....... brilliant! Keep an eye on the bargain cave they often have offers on waterfowling gear .... Reabrook
It's the boots that make a difference. For some reason the imported waders are far superior than the uk ones in the boot department
ciaran
Get yourself a good pair of reliable Daiwa Neoprene Chest Waders like myself kid...!
ayano3
I still use thigh boots and cut off cheapo leggings. You can fold the waders down for warmer weather. Then just pull them back up and get the leggings on when in position. I have seen a friend soaked through in 5 mm neoprene chest waders late September, sweat rather than salt water. laurona12
I have a pair of Cabelas Dry-Plus Breathable chest waders. They are very comforatable and not too sweaty if you have to walk out far. You need to layer up if it really cold. They've got a good rating in the custumer reviews 4.5/5 Remember the tax when pricing up !
