Jega
Now ,while i am in no way trashing this device ,i still prefer the old way of trying for gun suitability i was shown as a young lad by an old gamekeeper many years ago. Firstly what do we actually mean by gun fit or suitability? well basically its the mounting of the gun in the most natural way for you so your eye is on the bead line with the minimum of movement and adjustment from you the shooter. The easist way to test this is to close your eyes tight shut then mount the gun in the most natural and comfortable way you can(this is your natural mount)then open your eyes and see where you are in relation to the bead line ,obviously the less you have to move and adjust to achieve a good sight line the better the gun is suited to you . Finally try the above test again with eyes closed ,this time try to simulate your mount as if in the field,i.e.- out of the shoulder ,swing ,up and down etc .This will give you a really good idea as to whether or not you can get on with the gun . O.K. i know its not the most scientific of tests out there but it really will help you sort out the really unsuitable stuff
