bicykillgaz
I use one of these for all my shooting, can get a bit warm in summer but work great I have a couple of them I wear it with a realtree baseball cap as a half face mask and it doubles as a scarf in winter. moor man
I use dark green fine mesh, salvaged from a knackered old w'proof jacket. Got two complete face/head tubes from the sleeves and a piece about 1m sq.from the main body...all free! Been using them for years for stalking deer, pigeons and rabbits. Nice and cool, when they get whiffy they go straight in the W.M.cheers,MM
subsonicnat
Hi Guys, Got the misses to:>> SEW a bit of Netting,<< the sort you see through lol. and on the other side a PRESS STUD, Works a treat, isn`t HOT and is easily pulled undone by pulling on the press stud, lets the air to your face, only see your eyes, used a bit of the see-through netting I had a bit off, if not camo, cut some of the wifes curtains, or get off the local boot, and camo it. easy peasey.. The Croc
I always use a full head net, and gloves (thin cotton type) to stop the white skin flashing, and to stop the flaming midges/mozzies/other insects biting/stinging me
caeser
I find that when I'm in the hide, if I wear a hat with a wide brim or a peak, I can miss a lot of opportunities to have a shot at pigeon coming across from behind. Because of the peak, you quite often don't see them until they're out of range, going away, thats when they come into your peripheral vision. So I now wear one of those leaf effect full head veils. Its very good and not too intrusive. Also if its very hot, then hats are a pain I find. Whereas a loose fitting mesh face veil is not too hot. But everyone is different, and what bothers one person may not bother the next person.

tomhw100
I always use one but I wouldn't say it's necessary...what it does give you (apart from concealment) is a bit more freedom to move and lets you poke your head out of the hide without being spotted. I use a deerhunter one now I did have a jack pike one in apg but I lost it! I also have a polar mask off of seben in hardwoods but man that is ridiculously thick and hot,you would die in the summer if you wore that!
