martindd
Hello i bought a hw90 second hand off a couple of years ago,i only put less than a 100 pellets through it at the time. Today i bought some targets and pellets and target holder, got the gun out pulled the trigger and phut pellet still in breech! Anyone any experience of this? Phoned a couple of local gunshop who say it will have to be sent off and will likely cost a fair bit,so wonder if its worth it? Thanks Martin

NIGHT SEARCHER
Hello i bought a hw90 second hand off a couple of years ago,i only put less than a 100 pellets through it at the time. Thanks Martin It sounds like your Gas Ram as lost its gas some can be re-sealed and re-gassed. But most just put a new gas ram in it. Theoben Gas ram about £80 for a new one. Try Blackpool Air Rifles about £65 for a new one. Try www.gunspares.co.uk Thats Chambers new name. You might be able to convert it cheaper to a spring gun but it wouldn`t shoot has sweet and smooth as a gas ram. I have just had a look at gunspares and they are listing a ox spring to replace the gas ram for £19.19p and an exploded view of the rifle. I don`t know if you need anything else other than a spring. They even list a filler pipe to recharge the Theoben gas ram that might be your best option. Edited June 30, 2012 by NIGHT SEARCHER

snarepeg
The 90 as a built in gas ram, your leak is more likely the fill valve under the screw at the back. Quite easy to do, not expensive and worth doing. john
martindd
Thanks snarepeg ive tried again and moved the pellet down a little and it fired, so there is some power there but not what there should be,and theres resistance when cocking so maybe it wants topping up?? But after to talking to a couple of local gunshops they just sent it off which will end up expensive. Cheers Martin
peek-at
My localgun shop did a new gas ram & service for £90. Its a quality rifle so gotta be worth that....? See if you can find someone with a suitable pump and chrony to recharge it & see how long it holds. I suspect your gas ram may be goosed though as they shouldn't loose their charge really.
