steve0146
Went our for a couple of hours this morning after watching the birds building over week. Unfortunately, someone else was out shooting locally yesterday afternoon and no birds in sight this morning. Still went out as the dog needs to starting warming up for the wildfowling season and she is still only a pup really. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mayOfq4Rrk0&feature=youtu.be Edited July 14, 2012 by steve0146

fenboy
I really would advise you not to work a dog in barley , it really can cause all sorts of problems including blindness

steve0146
my thaughts also.. Point taken. Fair enough. It was the only time this year. She has been out on the stubbles though. Just a bit of training before the wildfowling season starts. ollie
I like the idea of the full bodies on the coat hanger. It seems to add quite a bit of movement to the pattern. How do you do it?
steve0146
I have drilled a small hole in the top of the bird and a larger on in the bottom. I then thread some fishing line through. At the bottom of the fishing line is a rawl plug tied on and then pulled back into the bird. Just make a loop in the top of the line to hook onto the coat hanger. The coat hanger has a small hook bent into the end to hook onto the line. It is then place into a small bit of garden cane. I have probably made it sound more complicated than it is!
